Shoppers hesitate when they don’t immediately understand the product category, its benefits, or how to use it, leading to missed sales opportunities.
Studio Flora analyses how products perform at shelf, identifying where hesitation is created and where design improvements can increase product understanding, visibility, and sales performance.
These findings are then translated into hands-on design across packaging, branding, and websites. This often means refining category recognition, information hierarchy, taste and use cues, and positioning, to help products stand out, communicate clearly and perform better at shelf. Work is informed by extensive plant-based category expertise.

∙ Founder Design Studio FloraI specialise in FMCG retail and brand-packaging, focusing on how products perform at shelf.
Over the past 15 years I’ve worked across FMCG and retail environments, including Nike, Nivea, Lidl, Etos and Kruidvat. My work focuses on packaging hierarchy, messaging and visual clarity, and how these influence whether shoppers notice, understand and choose a product in-store.
I founded Design Studio Flora to help FMCG brands with plant-powered products sell more, by improving how products are experienced at shelf.
